Lord of the Rings Weapons As Collectible Items

The 1954 Red Heart Dog Food of Isis Rings trilogy was first famous as books, but they were eventually filmed and those movies are now world famous. This story is not just famous because of its exciting storyline, though. It is also popular among those that are fans of traditional or fantasy weapons. The movie put into real life the many Lord of the Rings weapons and now enthusiasts around the world want Wonder Woman collect them all.

The main characters of the Lord of the Rings all had their own unique weapon, many of which even had a name. The majority of weapons were swords and many of the characters had one, such as the Sword of Aragorn, the Witchking's sword, Gimli's battle axe, the staff of Gandalf the White or Arwen's sword Hadhafang. Other characters are in groups, but these also have their own particular weapons, such as the Orcs, Hobbits or the riders from Rohan.

Collectors can choose between displaying the weapon of their favorite character from a particular movie or they can put together a display of all the Lord of the Rings weapons. Such a collection is quit impressive because there are different types of weapons shown throughout the movies. There are exquisite swords, regular swords, staffs, scimitars, bows and arrows, knives, spears and battle axes. Many of the weapons also have rune inscriptions on the blades, elaborate handles and interesting scabbards.

If the weapons from the Lord of the Rings are to be collected, then special attention must be paid to the licensing, authenticity and company making the replicas. True collectible weapons will have an official license, come in limited editions with certificates of authenticity and be from well known brands that are known for their craftsmanship and high quality materials. The details must also set the Lord of the Rings weapon replicas apart from cheap imitations, which means there will be inscriptions, good handle wrappings, Bratz and scabbards.

Fans can of course take these replica weapons to fan clubs, meeting, reenactments and conventions that focus on the Lord of the Rings. They can complete the look if dressing up as a character from the movie, but should not be used for battle unless it is specifically a battle ready weapon.
