Jennifer Harman - Professional Poker Player Review Series

It's impossible to think even for a general child that he/she can play poker at the age of eight! We don't expect. But miracle happens in many ways. A child of eight played poker and won! It was a home poker game and his father broke out after loosing $100-$300 against her daughter. She is nobody but the diminutive, young, dazzling poker player Jennifer Harman. She was born and grown-up in Reno, Nevada. While completing her graduation in Reno University with a degree in biology, consolidate your student loans used to work as a cocktail waitress for the first year. But for the rest, cancer car donation paid for her schooling by playing poker cash games. After completing her graduation, she didn't look back.

It was when Jennifer Harman was only 21, when she started her career as a full-time poker player. She had a tough time in 1993, through the year. But soon she overcame the situation. She borrowed $50,000 from a friend and paid it back as soon as it was possible. Not an easy tusk it was, but as a skillful and sincere player as well as human being she handled the situation calmly. In the year of 1996, she participated in World Series of poker in Las Vegas and get a rank of six in the $2,500 Hold'em pot Limit event. In the year of 1999 she finished in the money at the WSOP $1,500 limit Hold'em event.

Jennifer Harman got her first bracelet in a game where she never played before. It was the threshold of the new millennium, 2000 WSOP; she won the actual event of $5,000 No Limit Deuce-to-Seven draw. Four more money finishes game she continued on. One of the major was a final table appearance. The second glimmering bracelet by Jennifer Harman was 2002 WSOP World Series of Poker $5,000 Limit Hold'em event. She had three more money finishes events in the year of 2003. One of them was $1,500 Seven Card Stud event, another was $3,000 Limit Hold'em event, and the last one was $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo split event. She has played 19 money finishes events at the World Series of poker tournaments all together. Not only that, she appeared in two World Poker Tour final table appearances.

Now she plays $4,000/$8,000 mixed game at Bellagio, where the World's biggest cash game is played. Doyle Brunson, Chip Reese, Johnny Chan, Phil Ivey - worlds most feared and highly acknowledged Poker Players join her at the table these days. She has participated in NPR, the Ellen DeGeneres, the Discovery Channel ESPN, and Primetime Live. These tournaments gave her the identity of one of the outstanding voices of poker. Currently she earns up to $1,600,000 as of year 2006 from tournaments. She is also one of the people behind the chapter on Limit Hold'em in super system 2, the Bible of every serious Poker Players.

2004 was a tough year again in her life after 1993. She got her second kidney transplantation on that year. Not only as a renounced poker player, Jennifer Harman is also active as a social worker. She has created an organization which is called Creating Organ Donation Awareness (CODA). The organization is meant to aim to raise funds and consciousness about the significance of the organ donations.
